Hi Everyone!! Well, I'm finally feeling a bit more settled in now.  Only took me four months to get to this point.  Anyway, the house is put together and I'm learning my way around slowly but surely.  Now I'm ready to start meeting some of you wonderful people. Can anyone point me to a really good support group in the VA Beach area?  We are military so any military WLS groups would be nice too.  Thanks a bunch!!!

Hi Susan, Glad you are settled in. There is a support group at Portsmouth Naval on the first Thursdays of the month. Maybe we can get together for lunch one day.

Hi Jen!! Do you go to the Portsmouth support group?  Is it a good one?  Are there many people there? I'd love to meet you for lunch one day or coffee....  Let me know!

I have not gone to the support group but I am told they have a good turnout. Thursday nights don't usually work for me as I often help with my daughter's Senior girl scout troop. I'm meeting with Tink aka Natalie and JoAnn on Saturday for lunch. ( See Tink's post) Maybe you can join us!

Very tempting, but I will probably be with my oldest son that day doing something for band.  I think it's try outs for the district band....  If things work out, I'll try to come meet you guys that day! Maybe we can try for another day to meet.  This week is out though.  I have a sick kid at home right now.  His asthma has kicked into high gear.  The doc said (and I agreed) that he does not need to go back to school until his wheezing and cough stop.
