ITS TUESDAY WITH A TWIST!!!
Good am all, How are ya'll doing this am? I betcha you're gonna notice just how chilly it is outside. Weather folks think we're gonna get some snow flurries. Let's be serious....flurries? What do they look like? LOL! History shows we either get tons of snow or stuff that looks like cigarette ashes. We'll see for sure. Anyhow some advice dress in layers today & I LOVE this weather cause it means I'm moving my tushie quite a bit faster to get in exercise & my nature time. I'm sipping on my cuppa coffee w/ Pumpkin Spice creamer which is real yummy & I am thinking about the girls down the hall playing in the living room. I was thinking too about Kayla & her & I talking about some things going on at school. Its interesting how things in her school life are just like real things she'll face when she's older. Kayla's a whiz in her subjects at school especially math. In fact, she's doing advanced work & tests on a higher level than 1st grade which she's in. We're really proud of her but there are a couple in every group who just have to be negative. I got to thinking of how Kayla & her teacher has agreed with her, handles these things. She told me that while those kids are always mad & upset that she is getting all her work done right & quickly she is getting extra "play" time on the computer, extra time with a 3rd grader to "read cool books" and she gets to go into the cafeteria and answer questions to win prizes (testing to see the depth of her skills right now based on her grade level). She tells me that sometimes it hurts her feelings when some who have said they like her & are her friends now say mean things or do not speak to her but talk "mean things" to each other. We as adults know this as gossip & drama & jealousy. Hmmmm I keep learning from her simple lessons to remind me when I do not understand when adults behave this way. It reminds me that I'm glad I am not that way & that I can say without a doubt that I'm proud of my girl for her determination, hard work & positive attitude & its surely rubbing off on me. She's asked me a few times what I've done & the truth??? I have for the most and now always do what I've learned (in time and after lessons taught & learned) "kill 'em with kindness." In the face of adversity you cannot give in to others & their negativity. Unfortunately that is something they have to work out with themselves. There is inner turmoil & deep rooted issues as to why they react that way. I love the saying "you've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything." I will stand up for what I believe in and I will not fall to the ways of negativity. I will definitely continue teaching my buggas to do the same. We'll be tried & tested all of us in our lives but we have choices & although they are not always easy to make, make those choices & decisions & form your OWN opinions instead of listening to what someone else might say. Sometimes we want to believe someone else & their words but our guts tell us to check it out. The Lord is my guide and I will do my best to remain positive no matter the weight of being dragged into the mire & I for sure will "check things out" before passing judgement on another. I've been on the receiving end - we all have. So, what's on the books for today? I've got a few chores to accomplish & then I'm going to work on some more Cmas projects. Nora & I are going to play Candy Land Jr. some more which is soooo cute & fun & I am going to add some movies to my movie list & make sure we are stocked up for Cmas flicks the next couple weeks. Also, today I am going to grab a few more things online for Cmas. I am loving Ebay for sure! I'm really encouraged this am with many things & I am smiling & I hope the same for ya'll as well. In what ever you might do today just remember to give thanks & give things over to the Lord. He hears us even when we don't say a word. Smile your best smile & let others know you are surrounded by love & let warmth & happiness in your heart and deep within your soul. QUOTE FOR TODAY: Deja Brew: The feeling that you've had this coffee before. ~Author Unknown Have a FANTASTIC Tuesday! All best....
