Hi Everyone Thanks for the replies, I do know about the support group I went last month and there was only 3 of us there which is better than none however I'm looking to grow it and just meet people to meet who like to do things like shopping ,meeting for lunch. It's looks like there is a great group in the VA bch area and the support group in Richmond is larger I just thought I would try to meet people on this end of the world so I don't need to drive so far. I thank all of you for your support and look forward to meeting you one day. Happy Holidays Jackie

My husband, William, and I live in Colonial Heights!  We're both GBP post-ops.  I had my surgery May 2006 (5/2/2006) and William had his August 2000 (8/11/2000).  We actually met at the 1st Winter WLS Conference, January 2006 Drop me a line - (home) [email protected] or (work) [email protected] and we can chat   I work in downtown Richmond, in the Bank of America building on E. Main Street.  If you're in the neighborhood, let me know and we can do lunch during the week. Have a great day! Helen

Hi Jackie, I am planning on having it at the Portsmouth Navel Hospital. I have been going to a Nutrition class the past 4 months and I have to go for 6 months then I will be able to get the testing done to get the surgery. So I am hoping it will be in March or April. It is great to post on this site. Plus I have learned so much from everyone that has already done the surgery.  Have a great weekend. Gwen
