Hi Casey -
First, please call your doc & discuss this & get as much information to arm yourself with knowledge as possible. Certain meds CAN make us gain weight & its best to discuss this with your doc & work on alternatives if there are some. WE are our own best advocate in our care. Next, I know that its tough to see the scale bump back up so revisit your foods, fluids & exercise intake as well. Try & narrow everything down to the culprit(s) & then focus on those. Know that you are in my thoughts & prayers & keep us posted. All best...

I am sorry to hear that. My dr is back and forth on a med that may help my pain from fibromyalgia due to weight gain. Maybe after I have my ruptured disk fixed. I may revisit the idea after talking to other wls and fibro patients. Some are having no problem with the weight gain. It is really a pain when this happens. Maybe there are other alternatives depending on what you are treating.

Thanks everyone. It is my fibro meds that are causing the gain I think.
I am taking Concerta, Cymbalta, Darvocet, Vitamins, B-1, B-12, and flexeral.
So many new ones since surgery LOL What fun. I am going to go talk to a doc about it all. being new to this base it will be hard to get something done for a bit besides the drug seeker!
Check the Cymbalta...my doc explained to me that those types of meds either make you gain, lose or stay the same...each one is different for each person and you have to keep switching until you find the one that works for you without the weight gain or increase in appetite. Good luck!
