Would like to write an appeal letter but not sure what to include in it.  Any suggestions? Provider is BCBS PPO Keycare.  BMI is 37.7.   Thanks much!

I am not sure what you would need, but you may want to start with the Doc who submitted the request.  Their office deals with denials and may have some insight for you. Also, call the insurance company.  They might be able to help as well. Good luck to you!

Sporty Jill, Thanks for your reply.  I will call the docs office today and see what their recommendation would be.  When I was denied I just let it go, thinking it was "meant to be", but now I am rethinking that.  My eating is out of control and depression is looming more and more.  A coworker of mine got the LBS and she is looking and feeling great. I am new to this forum and I've been poking around it to see what it's all about.  I read a couple of your latest posts...WOW!!  You're an inspiration!!!  I'm wondering if you've always had this much energy or if it came with the weight loss and the exercising.

There is an insurance help forum here on the board that would probably have lots of information for you.  Just go to the forums tab up top & click into the forum.  Keep fighting for your health & we are here for you.
