Holiday Fitness Challenge - Dec 17th

Good Morning................ Who's cold?!?!?!?!  I sure am!!!!  Didn't want to crawl out of the bed this morning.  But...here I am..... Should be a chilly day, but that does not mean that you should not move to get the old blood moving....... We are 1/2 way through our Holiday Fitness Challenge.  How are you holding up? Ok...for me - this will be a crazy week....BUT...I WILL get my activity in.  Yesteray I walked/ran on the treadmill for 50 minutes (including 10 minutes of incline increases) did 3 sets of 12 - squats w/rear crucnches, leg lifts w/ an exercise band and lunges.  UGH!  Legs were tired, but I got through it. Tonight I will be on the ellipticle and then will be doing some upper body work with the weights. How about you?  What will you be doing today???

Hey Jill I was wondering, how many months after surgery did it seem like the scale was going up a few pounds or not moving after you started exercising/ weight lifting?  Just wondering if this means I am gaining muscle.  My clothes are still getting looser so that is a good thing!  As for the challenge,  I am literally being challenged to exercised walking with crutches and a fractured knee but I still walked three flights of stairs twice yesterday at church and try to do as much as I can!

I really didn't gain weight, per sei.....

My body played the game of lose 2 pounds on Monday, gain 1 on Tuesday, down 1 on Wed, up 1 on Thursday, stay on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Lose 2.5 on Monday and then start over again.

Same game that I still play today after my PS- up 1, down 1, up 1, down 2, up 1, down 1, etc.

Be careful on that knee.......

Hi Jill I have been working out but haven't posted. Heading out the door in a few for cardio and strength training.
