Thank you Melinda for posting this.  It is very helpful to know the drugs we can and can't take..especially if we are early postop and even later..sometimes we forget!!!   hugs

While this list looks safe , always ladies and gentlemen , check with your Gastric Bypas Surgeon or Bariatric  Advocate before taking any prescription drug .  Case in point . I was given Zyvox for my infection in my arms , many thought it was ok for my pouch .. as it turned out .. I ended up with aggrevation in my stoma .. and had to be put on Carafate .  Always .. Always rely on your surgeon .. even if you have to call the office for drugs you are given by your PCP .. they do not always know what is best for us ..  The wrong drug could send you to the hospital with ulcers and or spasms or worse a bleed .  Tink

Good pm Melinda -  Thanks for posting the list you have. Its nice to pass along knowledge & information to others. Of course we know its best to check with our WLS surgeon(s)on what we can & cannot take & it is worth mentioning that meds & conditions are a case by case basis & because a med doesn't work for one person doesn't mean it will not for another. I appreciate learning new tips & tricks by coming here & reading/posting/replying. Thanks again!
