Another surgery for me Jan 16th

My MRI results came back and the ortho surgeon said I have completely torn my ACL ligament in my left knee. I opted for reconstruction surgery for a greater chance of having a normal knee and to be able to exercise better. I am scared.  My life has been so busy I apologize in advance for staying in lurk mode.

I am confident that my decision to have the surgery is the correct one.  A positive note is that being down over 50lbs will make recovery easier.   Very excited about the holidays and the time to spend with my family.

Good am Autumn - my thoughts & prayers are with you. Its a big deal with a big decision having surgery to repair your knee. I'm glad you have options & hope for the best outcome from surgery. Keep us posted & life gets us running but remember to take some time for yourself & pop in here if you can spare a few minutes.  All best....

I have been praying for strength and my Sunday School class ladies have been praying with me.  I am determined to have a healthy and safe lifestyle. Yes life does get us running, it is amazing what the Lord throws in our tracks to help us slow down and realize what is important.

Thank you so much Judy!  I can use all the prayers and hugs I can get.  Today was my first physical therapy session and it went quite well.  I look forward to keeping my chin up and not letting the fear of going under the knife scare me.

Sorry to hear those MRI results. I'd be scared too but think of being skinny with  a good as new knee! Sending prayers your way.

Thanks Jen!  I agree, better to be skinny with a repaired healthy knee than to be skinny with a less than able knee.  Having surgery will allow me the chance to finally run and such.
