I'm almost an honest man again: 299

Finally, I can be truthful on my driver's license. Since 1989 I have listed 295 as my weight on my license. 295 sounded a lot smaller than anything starting with a 3. I always figured that anyone looking at my license wouldn't know the difference between a 295 lb man and a 350+ lb man (obese in any state). I weighed in this morning at 299. OK, I am not at 295 yet, so perhaps not completely honest, but (thankfully) VA stopped listing weight on licenses. Thrilled, Joe

You should be thrilled .. that is awesome .. and yes .. guilty here too .. I would always put on mine .. 180 .. yea right .. pretty distant from 325 .. but it sure looked better .  I know you are excited .. and trust me .. it only get's better .  You should be very proud .  Please wish Amy and your family a Merry Christmas ... and I am hoping that we will see each other again in 08 .  Tink

Oh Joe!!! I would dare say that many many of us have been right where you are with the driver's licenses.  I too was very dishonest, putting I weighed 185 ..when in all honesty i was well over 300 pounds!  It is so freeing not to have to lie on that anymore!   hugs and Merry Christmas

Joe,  congratulations on getting down under 300lbs!!!. I am also guilty of lying about my weight on my licence too stating 190lbs - year right!   Now that I can state the truth they don't ask for it and a friend of mine commneted the other day that I do not look like my driver's license any more - finally!! Well done!! Jackie

I need a new photo too but I am not going to stand in a huge line for it - it is not that important to me! Jackie

I can tell from your posts  that you are an honest man. I think we have all listed our weight to "look better on paper". In January 08 I will be getting a new military dependent ID and I cannot wait to put my real weight on there. At 242 I was always 180.  Heck, I was always more honest about my age, the 7th anniversary of my 36th birthday, than I was about my weight.  Keep up your great work!

Ditto on that Jen, my military ID has always said 200 that what i was the day i got over 6 yrs ago, even at 260 I still left 200 on it, my id expires in June 08 and hubby sews on a new stripe in Jan. so I'll be needing a new one. I look far different from mine now.. I can't wait for a new one that says something like 130!!!!
