OT: Need your ideas...

Ok, so after YEARS of family & friends NAGGING ME to become a wedding planner, I've finally decided to take the plunge. Am I nervous? You bet'cha!! Do I think I can make it work? You bet'cha!! So far as my research has shown me, I have litterally NO competition so at least I won't have to worry about that. What I need from ya'll is help in coming up with a name for my new business. I don't want anything schmaltzie, if you know what I mean. Gosh, I'm really good at naming pets but can't come up with a decent name for my business. So how about putting on your creative thinking caps & make some suggestions? I'm trying to come up with a business plan for the Small Business Administration but I need a company name. Thanks in advance!!!!

Ann- That sounds so fun....that's a job on my "wish I could do that someday" list! :-) I don't have anything specific to suggest....everything that my tired brain is coming up with this morning is a bit schmaltzie :-) BUT...I would suggest not limiting yourself to a really specific wedding planning name....just in case things expand and you do more parties like retirements and big adult birthday parties and the such. All the best to you as you start this new venture!

Ok of course Congratulations going out to one of my favotite girls!!!! And the first thinf that pops in my head weather its schmaltzie oe not is Auntie Ann's Wedding Creations: so there you go Im sure you will have others but you have a beautiful name and you loved your aunt what better way to honor her. Hey now...what's wrong with naming a bob-tailed cat Bob??? Better than Stumpy!! LOL!!!! Other pet names: Scholl's Foster Child (****er spaniel), Scholl's Fodo Finish (English springer spaniel, Scholl's Miles & Miles (Weimeraner that I had to drive miles & miles to get), Max (cat), Marty (cat, brother to Max), Oreo (black & white springer mix), Tucker (golden lab/golden retriever), Dixie (Quaker parrot), Kibbles & Bits (JRT..Mike named her), Darby (mutt I found on Darbydale Blvd), just to name a few. Don't worry Cleo... I know yer just jerkin' my chain! About the business name though...Dream Weaver. That's an interesting combo & keeps with Christina's idea of not limiting to just weddings, cuz I can put on great parties too. Hmmm. Merry Xmas!!!
