I have preop for back surgery tomorrow and have a cold that is going down into my chest. Prayers would be greatly appreciated as I would love to get this over with and move on with my healing and life. I did call today to let them know but everyone is still off for holidays. I still have a week if i need antibiotics, guess they will tell me tomorrow. Thanks and Hugs, Shannon

Good luck for tomorrow - make sure you tell them about your cold so they can make the correct decision on going ahead with your surgery tomorrow or not..... but once it is over hopefully you can move on wih life and be pain free!! I will be thinking of you tomorrow Jackie

Good luck tomorrow, Shannon. I know you are ready to get this over with, but if it gets postponed, try not to be too upset---it will be for your own good. (When my 2nd c-spine surgery was postponed due to a gum infection, I was really upset, so I KNOW how you will feel if that happens,) Be strong and trust good ol' UVA! Love, J

Prayers coming your way. Start some over the counter meds asap. For chest congestion I love mucinex. It is time release, so my pharmacist & I figured out how to make it work. The directions are to take 2 tablets every 12 hours, instead take 1 ever six hours. Also CVS now carries it in non time release form to take every 4 hours. Hope you feel better soon.
