HAPPY NEW YEAR TUESDAY JAN 1ST!!!!
Good am all,
HAPPY NEW YEAR & WELCOME TO 2008!!!
We've made it! Dang I'm excited! Good am to all you gorgeous folks! I'm up its just after 7 am & the sun is just about rising. I'm sippin an AchievOne and all is quite in the House of Kitty Kat at the moment.
Last pm was surely interesting. It was low key & had some moments of chaos but all in all it was nice. Had my follow up appointment from a surgery I had 1 1/2 months ago and I'm healing up nicely. I got to skip the needles this time as well as one other test since things are coming along well. I am very please with this and am looking very forward to the next steps in accomplishing some short term & long term goals (some directly related to WLS; others not). Got in some grocery shopping & dontcha know they were OUT of black eyed peas (the kind we dig around here anyway)!!! I was like yeah ya'll need to unload you're truck a bit faster cause its tradition around these parts to have some and some stewed maters on New Year's Eve. COME ON! LOL! Anyhow, there 4 buggas sleeping soundly throughout the house. They had themselves a Spongebob/cartoon festival but all konked out pretty dang late (for them). Trey & I had a nice dinner @ The Italian Kitchen West (been around 46 years & its GREAT), hit up Books A Million (a GRAND addiction - books/reading) and then hit up 7-11 for some coffee (another GRAND addiction). Came home and there was the whole Planet of the Apes series on *** ok Kat is not really into but she watches waiting for the dang ball to drop). Anyhow, wow Dick Clark he's surely plugging along isn't he? His spirit!!!! Saw the ball drop, passed along & got a bunch of text messages, phone calls etc. which went until until about 4 am. THANKS to some "I'm partying until the sun comes up" people.
Here's to an AMAZING 08!! I hope everyone is successful, finds/stays happy, accomplishes their goals & dreams, grows in their relationships &/or connections most importantly with the Lord, takes time each day to reflect & takes care of themselves so they might take better care of others, give things to the Lord realizing we cannot do it all ourselves, practices random acts of kindness, is supportive, loving, understanding, forgiving, hopeful, keeps faith alive and more. I wish the best for everyone & am thrilled that we are alive and well and ready to embrace 2008.
All my love, big time hugs and lots of prayers.....

Good Morning my beautiful friend. So glad that you had a wonderful evening and celebrated the New Year.
My evening ws pretty low key but enjoyable. Got the girlies off to their mother around 4:30, waited for my hubby to come home from work and we went off to pick up some champange and go out to dinner. Enjoyed a great dinner at Kobe's, a japenese steak house, headed to the grocery store for some late night snacks and just cuddled on the couch and waited for the ball to drop. Made some calls to family to wish them Happy New Year, some texts to other loved ones and off to bed we went.
Personally I respect Dick Clark for wanting to continue the show but I think it is horrible to exploit him that way. It just seemed to me that he was struggling and it was so sad to watch him.
Happy New Year to all and I hope you enjoy the first day of 2008! Tomorrow it is back to work!
Hiya Courtney - your new year's eve sounds great as well. Glad ya'll got some dinner & cuddle time in. So important to spend good quality alone time together. Ah yes it was tough to see for sure (Dick Clark) that is why I said SPIRIT and let it go at that. TODAY is work for me & I LOVE every second of it. Getting things in tip top shape, enjoying the beautiful weather, the buggas & nephews tearing up what I've just cleaned up inside & out lol and really bout to chow down on some homemade taters & onions. A guilty pleasure this almost midday point but one I savor. Love ya!

Your life is never dull Kat lol! The black eyed peas are too funny - I don't think I have ever tasted them - not coming from the US we have different traditions in Scotland . At Christmas we have turkey stuffed with haggis - and we would NEVER cook it without the haggis lol! And then we have Christmas fruit pudding and hot custard. And at New Year we have beef and Yorkshire pudding....... none of which I can eat any more - and if I could I could never find it the US with the same taste as it has in Scotland.
Traditions are important!
Happy New Year!
