Think of all those chemicals you were putting into your body by smoking. It's no wonder when you stop that  you feel *****y. You made the best decision of your life by taking control of your health. It started with the surgery and stopping smoking is the next step. Stick with the basics of the tool you have been using now for a year. Heck--you are below goal! You can do this. I have faith in you and I am just a phone call away. big hugs ((((((((((Corinn))))))))))))

First off, let me tell you that I am SO proud of you for doing this.  I've been smoke free for over 3 years now (WOW!  That long) and do not miss it at all. I've heard good things about Chantrix.  In fact, my Dad is using it now, and if he can do it...you certainly can.  He's a 3 pack+ smoker per day............. Now...as for the weight part of it....definately go back to basics, log your food, keep healthy stuff around, drink LOTS of water to get that nicotine out of your system, etc.  BUT...also, decide which is more important...being smoke free and gaining about 10 pounds (which you will get right off after this trial period), or being a smoker and weighing 10 pounds less.  You are in a very healthy weight range that if you did gain 10 pounds, you would remain in that weight range.  But, if you remain as a smoker, well then..... we bith know the outcome on that. I'm here if you need anything, because I've been there and done that, so I completely understand..........

I hate to jump on the bandwagon without anything new to offer - but I agree to see if you can take Chantix. I've smoked for over 20 years and tried everything you can imagine to try to quit. Patches, gum, cold turkey, etc. Nothing ever worked for me. My doctor gave me Chantix - after the first week, I didn't pick up another cigarette. I don't want to make you think it was easy - every day was tough - but not NEARLY as tough as it was in the past. Good luck!

Chantix for me also, I smoked 2 packs a day for 26yrs, took Chantix for 1 month and have been smoke free for 6 months.  There are some sideeffects but differant people get differant ones.  People say it cost alot but I paid 101.00 for month, I spend more than that a month on cigs! good luck
