I made it!

I made it through my first day back at work! I made my lunch and DH and I (who happens to work at the same place) had lunch together.  I stopped when I think I felt full which ended up being about 2 oz of cottage cheese and 1 oz of tuna.... yeah that's about right, but then it seemd I was hungry all day ... sort of... I had my protein in the  a.m and the afternoon.  about an hour after my last pm protein, I got really run down, I had some yogurt and energy was up again...  Work load wasn't that bad, my boss was really great, she didn't want me stressing out about things, we can catch up later in the week or next week. Just ease back into things.  Funny how your mind plays tricks on you to make you think the worse... Good 1st day back.... and tonight I tried 1 small piece of low car tortiall with a dab of sauce cheese and tiny pieces of candian bacon.. no probelm... I just HAVE to eat slower.... Things taste so good that I havent had in a while... or the new reciepes.  At least I know what Im doing wrong, right?

Glad to hear you had a good first day back!  Its so great that your boss is easing you back into the normal workload. That will really help when you have those low energy slumps during the day.

That is great Amanda!!!!  The water will help with the hunger.  Also getting up from the desk when you feel a bit hungry and taking a little walk or something might help to.  Keep an eye on it, my situation ended up being a bit different.  What I though was head hunger in the begining actually ended up being real hunger.  Because I have two jobs & work such long days, the original eating plan mapped out by my nut was not enough for me.  My metabolism was dropping & I was slumping in the energy department.  Ended up having to add a snack or two into my schedule in order to keep my body moving.
