"Back to the Basics", Thanks Tink!
Courtney has posted about this, and Naomi the other day. So, I thought I would describe my own very similar situation now.
At the end of summer of hiking, kayaking and canoeing I weighed 148-150. The fist week of August I began my EMT-B class--2 nights/week, 5 hours/night (2 hrs commuting). Getting the right foods became a problem. Avoding the wrong foods became a problem. Getting in hiking AND dog grooming after school AND EMt class became a huge problem.
My clothes had gotten gradually snugger and the smallest I cannot wear in comfort now. I vowed to go back to my old regimen as soon as class was over. Then it was as soon as the holidays were over.
Last week I was 168. I posted to a topic of Naomi's and Nat answered me back. I am now determined and back on the bariatric diet: I had always gotten in the protein, but carbs (like Combos) were my downfall, plus reduced exercise.
The new me: I hiked: Sat--10 miles, Sun--5 miles, Mon--2 miles, Yest--4+ miles, today--3/4 mile so far with more planned for after work. I have eaten high protein ,very low carb for 3 days now. The double whammy has given me -4 pounds of joy!!
As Nat says, folks, go back to the basics. Do what you know how to do. Thin DOES feel better than food tastes!!
I will post more often about my progress in hopes it will kick someone else like me into high gear.
hugs,
Lois

Because I am limited on my activites I did take a stroll around walmart and the mall yesterday..Hey at least I was out of the house and my jammies..lmao
Best of luck to you..
