Good Morning Fitness Fanatics....... It's another beauty of a day - the temps will be a little cooler and there will be some rain later, but a GREAT day to get the blood pumping. Ok...I was a t*rd last night.  I ended up NOT doing my workout....my sister p*ssed me off and it made me NOT want to do anything...so......I didn't. Did I feel guilty all night....YES!  Cause if I say that I'm going to do something, well, by golly...I'm going to do it...and I didn't. BUT...today is a new day and tonight I will work double hard to work out.  DEFINATELY 2.75 miles on the treadmill, plus upper and lower body work. Enjoy your day!!!!

Very excited today. They are letting me add veggies so I am working out in anticipation of the calories!! LOL I put a new twist in last night. 2 sets of cardio wrapped about my lifting. I did my 35 minutes on the treadmill. Proud to say I am up to 2.5 miles in that time. Then I lifted my push set of upper body. Then did 15 minutes on the bike. Today it is pulls, but I plan to wrap the same cardio plan around it. The other key to all the working out: WATER, WATER, WATER. Nearly drowned myself after I got back. Net result? Down 2 more lbs. this morning!

GREAT JOB!!!

Definately make sure that you are well hydranted.  But. also because you are so new out of surgery, take it easy.  Your excitment is great, but make sure that you are taking some time to rest.  This was major surgery and your body needs to recoup.....

I am going to play Wii. Sounds silly but it really gets you moving. I am going to try tennis. Wish me luck.

My daughter and I jogged,...well I use that term loosely, at lunch yesterday.  We jogged 1.5 miles, then walked the rest of the 4 mi route.  She isn't able yet to go that far and her going with me is more important to me than runnig ahead of her and waiting for her at the finish.  And we did it. She leaves for school this coming Sunday for her last semester before getting he BS at Radford.  She does motivate me to get out daily and that is good for me getting restarted after the holidays.  I will get the mileage back up after she gets back to school.  But I did invite her to join me on a 10 mile excursion I have mapped out for myself this Saturday, even if she rides a bike.  I have never gone that far at one outting, to-date, and very much want to bump it up to the next level in an effort to lose more weight and improve my 10K time.  Going farther should help make the 10K distance seem easier,...shouldn't it??? Thanks for keeping us on task and accountable SJ!
