Slim Fast

Cindy was asking about us using  Slim Fast  I seen this info on the main board last night kiddo: It said Slim Fast low carb diet shakes 20 grams of protein 80 cal. 1 gram sugar, now Ive not seen nor tried these so I thought Id post for you to see if someone has and if they thought we would benifit from them and where to buy them?????

Slim Fast Low Carb Diet was the suggested protein drink for my two week pre-op liquid diet.  They are hard to find, but surprisingly I found them at the Walmart in Mechanicsville, VA.  They come in 4-pack cases and only come in two flavors (choc and van).  They run about $5 and change for the four pack.

Thanks sweetie  how are the taste? And is this a regular Walmart or a super Walmart? See her in Charlottesville we have yet to get the super :( but Harrisonburg, Stanton, & Culpepper has the bigger ones, just curious wondering if Kroger or Giant might have as well.  

I preferred the vanilla one, but I don't generally like the chocolate flavored shakes, they are too sweet for me.  At first I thought it was pretty nasty, but as I trudged through the two weeks I came to get used to the flavor.  I might even go so far as to say it is the better vanilla shakes I've had (compared to the vanialla powders I've mixed myself)

I found it at a super walmart.  :)
