Update on me and back surgery!

Been a little of a rough week. Not as bad as I expected though. Woke up from surgery  with more feeling in my left leg than I have had for months. Monday I had and allergic reaction to the bandages I was using and finally got a but that wasnt a pancake. Sad it was hurting like heck and swelled big time but tryin to find some humor in it. That cleared up as soon as i changed the bandages and tape I was using. This morning I had the staples removed with only a couple of tears from the ones in tender spots from allergic reaction. Off the crazy percosets they gave me to come home with. Cant stand how nutty they make me and its too dangerous for me to be that way and not over do it with my back. Have had some great help and support from people. Thanks to those who have called and sent cards. Hope I will finally be able to sleep on my back with staples gone. We will see tonite. Hope to have a better weekend and be glad when I can try driving if only to the mail box. Feel trapped. Outings have been to drs twice. I have a positive feeling so far that this is going to make such a big difference in the way my life will be this year and can move on to many hopes and dreams that have been put on hold.  Hugs and Love, Shannon
