HOME FROM SOCK HOPE - EXPO

Good Morning !

The weekend has come and gone . And once again I feel like I left my best friends at summer camp !! What a great time this was !! It was so great to see everyone .

I really feel this was the best conference yet !  It was so great to see everyone’s accomplishments , to hear your struggles .. to watch you participate in the sessions . I hope that each of you left with something for the heart , your head and your spirit .

Joe Green- You are such a sweet person . Your desire to reach out and help others goes beyond words . You are exactly what describes the word support leader and mentor . Thank you again for your help this weekend . I look forward to working  with you again !!

Jackie Thodos , As always you are like a breath of fresh air . Like Joe , you are one of the most knowledgeable support leaders this board has . Your desire also to help and  guide goes beyond words . I hope as things settle down for you this year , you too can continue to be  a part of our projects . Again, thank you for stepping up and helping us !!

Joe Bear – What a great joy it was to look out on that dance floor and see you and Amy . You too shine like beautiful stars . I am so glad you both came , and I too look forward to seeing you guys again in the future .

Corinn K – What a beautiful person you are . I was so pleased that you went dancing with us . You have such a wonderful  soul . It was fun hanging out with you ! I look forward to seeing you again SOON !!

Cindy S – It was so good to finally match up the Avatar to the beautiful person you are . You have email this am .. So good to see you .. And thank you again for coming out . We look forward to seeing you again !!

Jill K ( Sporty Jill ) What an inspiration you are to so many . It was so good to see you Saturday morning . We were sad you had to go , but we hope that you can come out and make future events !

Holy and Keith – You now come as a pair !! OMG – our Second WLS marriage . You totally surprised so many with your announcement !! We are so happy for you . You both look wonderful . We look forward to many more events with you . And maybe one day .. you can deliver the couples session ??? Something to think about !!

Loris D – You my dear are full of life and are the funniest person !! It was so  good to see you and your husband there with us .  We are all praying for your upcoming surgery . Keep us posted !

Lauren L – You my dear are so beautiful . I am sorry I did not have more time to spend , but it was great to see you there . I hope that the sessions and everyone’s guidance this weekend helped you .

 

Mary D – You are such an inspiration as well . Every year your beauty grows . It was so great to share scar history !! LOL . Thank you for always coming out to support our events . I look forward to see you in the future .

There are so many faces coming to me this morning , but again I want to thank everyone for coming out in the weather , for supporting our events .. but most of all for supporting each other .

Our sessions this year where awesome . The speakers and their messages where awesome and not to be missed .

I am asking everyone that attended that does post on this board to please email me if you are interested in our newsletter . I am including in this all the links to the speakers. Vendor information , Sample information . Works sheets and upcoming events. I have your registration forms , however some of the email addresses are not readable , and I want to be able to reach out to all . So please send me your information and I put you on the list .

I have my pictures and I will be working on them this morning . Once I get them edited , I will post a link to them so all can enjoy . If anyone has pictures you want to share , please do ..

I am back in Rockville this morning . Tired .. and wore out !! I cried when leaving the hotel , as I always feel so overwhelmed with joy . You all have shown me such love and care .. and I cannot tell you what it means in your support of my efforts .

I wanted to let those that may be interested know I will be putting together the 09 Committees soon . If you are interested in being part of the Support Teams for our events , please let me know . As the year goes on , I will be putting together our Vendors , Speakers and session events . If you have ideas that you think others will want to hear at our events , email me . If you have ideas for speakers , send them to me.

David and I are so happy to bring you events like these . We want to support you and bring you food for the heart .

This was my first one and I had a blast. The sessions were very informative and the company was excellent. I enjoyed meeting all the folks from the board. I am so excited, I have already talked to my hubby about going to the next one with me. Tink, you and David are awesome. Thank you so much for all the hard work you and your team do for us.

You my dear are beautiful both body and spirit ! Hey there... obviously getting you on the dance floor during the Sock Hop was just a warm-up for your later escapades at Bahama Joe's! I guess I need to take some dancing lessons from you so I can cut loose the next time we make a go of it! Way to go, you! Mary D.

Nat, You and David did a great job. I had a lot of fun and you covered a range of emotions, feelings, and experiences over the three days of meetings, sessions, lectures, activities, and visiting.  The first Saturday session, around the room intros and testimonials was a really good way to the tone of the day off on a tremedous right direction.  I wouldn't have changed a thing except for electricity Saturday morning. I got to have some quality time with many people I have been wanting meet and a teaser with some others that only motivates me to be more involved as time; family, job, and Church responsibilities permit. Joe - what can I say about you that is printable and won't get me banned from OH?  lol!! Seriously, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you - in person - and see how dedicated you are to this WLS cause! You are fun and have the right attitude!  Your support group is lucky to have you! If you lived nearer I would go to your support group! If you ever need any help at all - and I can help - do not hesitate to contact me!   I'll be your groupie! ;-) Jackie

I dunno,...can a groupie be a groupie to another groupie of the original groupie? Waddi juz say??? Send me that info in an email so I can post it at my desk for my fragile ego and self perception affirmations LOL, before my wife beat the crude out of me!! Seriously, you were every bit the lady and leader in person I imagined you to be only I had no idea you had such people insights, that mysterious scottish accent, and a poodle skirt.

Now you are just trying to do my head in  -  and we all know Tylenol sucks! The days of Excederin now being over  boo hoo! I knew the poodle skirt would win you over ;-))  How these American girls every wore them on a regular basis I will never know! But it was fun and cute to wear for one evening!   And you looked pretty cool dressed up as a 50's guy too! I have only been in America 12 years so I still have a lot of my accent - but I can do a mean New Jersey accent when I am in the mood lol!  Or when I don't want anyone to know it is me on the phone - fooled my mother in law many times with that pretending to be a rep for some utility company  going to disconnect her for non payment lol ;-)) I figured she won't exercise like the doctor told her so I help raise her heart rate! ;-) Jackie
