Still going strong/Looking for someone to workout with...

So far, I've lost a little over 30 lbs since November 15th.  I'm really excited.  I'm out of the 250s, and I'll never be back there again. I'm still having some trouble being motivated to move more, but my searches for someone to workout with me haven't found much luck yet. Does anyone have any suggestions for finding people to do something as simple as walking together?  (I live in Arlington, and I have a fitness center in my building) Thanks!  Hope everyone's doing well!

Good request.  I'll have to start calling you Sparky for being a spark plug in your area.  Stay after them, someone will come out of the woodwork.  Make sure you check in opn SportyJills What did you do to move today too. People watch that for workingout ideas and stuff.  You might drag a lurker out of hiding.

Well I'm giving up my car (not permanently) in that I'm going to walk to work in the morning and take the metro to my internship and home. I walked around to get to where I was having lunch today, including almost purposely getting myself lost on my way back to work so I was walking for longer.  Only problem was I forgot to bring a coat and it is COLD today.

You ain't kiddin about it being cold. Great attitude.  You keep that up and you can't help but be successful. Be sure to share the WOW momemnts with us as they start rolling into your life. We all like being excited by the little things that mini-people take for granted and brighten our lives.

Hey There.....

I'm not in your area, but, defiantely keep an eye on the What Did YOU Do To Move thread...I've been told that it's motivating (i hope so) and keeps some accountable (if you post it..you HAVE to do it - haha).  And who knows.....maybe you will meet someone from there......... BUT....the best way to start is to put on your shoes and start. Also...check out the fitness center.  I'm one of those who is ackward at new places (many would be SHOCKED to know this about me), but defiantely go a few times and after a while, you end up meeting people and bitta-bing*batta-bang...you have a walking buddy! Good luck!!!
