Heard from UVA today!

yep ! one of the nurses got back to me today after i called the am about my hital hernia hurting me sooooooo Much!  She said it is pretty normal for that to be feeling like that 'however when i see DR S.nx wk to make sure i tell him this as well!  Yep! when i eat nd belive me the time on that is getting longer and longer due to the pain from the hernia repair . I know i have to eat but i have done got to where i dread it coz the way it makes me feel!  Joe on here can tell ya that late last nite i was still awake and felt absolutley TERRIBLE!  I was in sooooooooo much agony from this and i got real down & scared due to it!  Then crazzzzy Joe was still up and so he talked me through it alot too!  wow'Great ' thing we have here folks !! Here for each other and alot of times TIME doesnt matter coz God always put someone in your path to help and to be helped!  AMEN!  so thanks Joe for the ear last nite my friend!  N christ, Bonny   

Good am Bonny, Personally if you are STILL hurting like that I would call AGAIN & be a thorn in their sides & say looky here I gotta eat so if eating = pain this chick needs something to help me out. Suggestions, support SUMTHIN'! I pray you get to feeling better. All best...lots of prayers & big hugs.....

Thanks Kitty Kat ! Yeah i go back to DR S,nx thursday so im going to try and hang on til then. no need for alarm if it indeed gets any worse at all 'they'll be hearing from me alot SOONER... God bless Bonny

Bonny, if you are in this much pain I would also call them again and insist on coming in or go straight to the emergency toom - if nothing else they can assure you things are fine and give you better pain medication. I had hernias repaired at my lower body lift and that was more painful to recover from because of that - HOWEVER -  I was never in the kind of pain you are in. Please go and have it checked out and do not listen to nurses who are playing down your pain. The doctor's office is probably closed for the weekend and you may be forced to go to the hospital if it continues. Jackie

With your hiatal hernia being inside your stomach right at your pouch, I can imagine it is very painful.  If eating is that painful I would switch to soft foods, more liquid protein supplements to keep you going.  Definitely don't cut out the fuel your body needs.  Hope you feel better soon. 

yeah! thats what i still am on is the blended /liquidfied foods.. Thanks for your compassion and help & prayers !  as i told the other ones if it doesn't improve or gets worse i will be in touch with them pronto!  God bless!  Bonny
