I'm approved...

My insurance has approved me for surgery. I just went to Dr. Lucktong on Tuesday for my 1st appt...boy is this going fast. I feel for the patients who struggle with waiting for approval. This is such a surprise to me. Approved in 3 days...I'm still in shock. I am set up for my psych eval, nutritionist, and echo on Feb 12. I'm so excited, I think this is going to be a reality. Is this normal?  Do I still have alot to do after this? Thanks, Penny

Good pm Penny, Congratulations on your approval! Its "normal" & there may be other things to do which depends on what your surgeon needs/wants testing wise. Take things one at a time & ask questions & voice concerns. All best....

Congratulations! Once you get approved things should go by fairly fast and  if your inurance does not require a supervised diet or you have already completed one of those - you will have had the surgery before you know it! Jackie

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Va. I had to purchase a weight loss rider last year.

Congrats on your approval!!!!  Nervous is normal.  Just keep on researching & finding out everything you can.  What you have to do will depend on your insurance & your surgeon, they all have different requirements.  Keep us updated & let us know if you have questions.
