I was actually like 10 months out when mine really got bad (probably started earlier than that but I didn't realize what it was, thought is was dumping or blood sugar issues).  Christina was pretty early out when hers went bad.  PM her & ask her about it.

Cheese and I get along VERY well except for the.  Frankly I don't care about that part anymore. I have such a hard time getting in the right proteins I take what I can get! I LOVE the BabyBel Light cheeses.  So soft and yummy on the go. I have even done one slice of fat free american cheese on very low carb/low sugar bread made into a grilled cheese and that was tasty. Of course I was only able to eat like four bites.

I have no problems at all with any type of cheese (melted or solid) or any type of dairy product.  Although I do go for the low fat items, which I was eating before my WLS.   Being able to eat cheese and other dairy items is good for me since some days I get a big chunk of my protein from them.  I seem to go through phases where I'm fine with protein shakes (can only tolerate the lean Muscle Milk shake mixes) and then I have these phases where I can't handle a shake for a few months. - Helen

I love all the cheeses and milk products and usually eat some everyday...it is a big part of my diet.  No intolerances yet.
