Jill, thank you for posting this, since there may be confusion with how the other threads crossed each other. I agree that your original request was appropriate and that Religion and Politics are subjects that wreak havoc on any message board (unless specifically meant for those topics). I personally am not offended by posts with a Christian content, but do agree that it needs to be kept to a minimum and not detract from the original pupose of the board. I agree that you should not be alienated by expressing yourself in a respectful manner. Disagreements will occasionally surface on a board like this and it's important that we strive to work through it in a direct and constructive way.

All she said was, "THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE"! What the big stinkin deal here? If she sadi your all goign to hell, then okay now we have something to talk about. Seriously this should have never taken the course it has. Her comment was not offensive and it dod not warrant the statement you made. She said nothing wrong nothing wrong at all!

Amen to that Jen!
I will not even pretend that I have read all post associated with this topic. In my honest opinion if someone of another faith or none at all speaks to me in POSITIVE light with their religious backing that is NOT going to offend me. Point is they believe what they want to believe and they are wishing me NO harm!
Different opinions only BECOME a problem when someone decides it's worth the chance of DRAMA for asking someone to LIMIT thier show of their belief in order to opease them. And might I add that the asking of the limitation is just as Offensive to those of us with a christian background!
AS LONG AS IT IS IN A POSITIVE LIGHT AND NOONE IS BEING RUDE, OR MEAN OR OUTRIGHT MORALY WRONG then where lies the problem? Now with that being said I certainly am NOT taking sides on the right or wrong side of the arguement or poster of the board. I just think that filtering who you are is a hrd thing to do and an offensive thing to ask, no matter how nicly it's put. Im sure that Jill didnt mean to offend and certainly didnt want to start any kind of debate but of all thing I believe it's silly to have an issue with something that should be tolerated on a basis that it is not intentially degrading of others.
Alot of people who are strong in their faith rely on that throughout every moment of every day and the same way we dont want to offend people we dont want to feel fitlered or uncomfortable with what are responses should be or what are topics should be.
Asking for prayers seems to be fine and non offensive to others ( as it shouldnt be ) so I dont know why that imparticular post would become offensive to anyone.
I mean if I seen some topic that was buddist, I prolly wouldnt read it because it;s not my faith, but if I did and then it offended me, do I really have the right to say anything about it?
I think this has all gotten a lil out of hand and we should try and move past it with NO ill feelings tords anyone on this board because quite honestly regaurdless of religion everyone on this boards seems to be really supportive and that's all that matter's.
But that's just my opinion and we all got em.
And I am not speaking directly to anyone on this board or to anyones specific beliefs. Im only joining the conversation as someone who enjoy's having positive support on this forum REGAURDLESS of who or what religoin it comes from :)
By the way...please ignore misspellings...typing fassstttttttt on someon elses keyboard :)
