Saw Dr. Mo Today...

And he said... Let's treat these ulcers big time...so, we are doing the following... Pray...A LOT... PrevPac (to treat H. Pylori even though biopsies are negative...doesn't hurt to try) Pray More Protonix twice daily after the prevpac Pray some more Carafate four times daily (have already been doing this anyway) Pray increase my protein EXPONENTIALLY (sp?) Keep praying! Apparently, I also have several staples protruding in my pouch and so, I have to go back for ANOTHER EGD to remove those ASAP because those can actually cause MORE ulcerations. SO, that's the plan.  Did I mention Pray?  LOL We will re address if I get worse (more pain) or after one full month of protonix...which would be 6 weeks from now. 

I am happy with this plan.  Dr. Mo did say that if all else fails medically, I will need surgical revision to remove the heavily ulcerated area...but, that is an absolute LAST resort...if it comes to that and that doesn't work then I would have to have the RNY reversed altogether...let's pray that it never comes close to that!

So, prayer warriors...the battle is ON!  I am feeling MUCH better now that there is a plan and feeling much less stressed about the whole thing.  I have ordered some of the Protein 2Go to put in my water so that I am constantly getting SOME sort of protein.  The plan is to get well over 100g of protein daily to kick the crap out of the ulcers!

GREAT NEWS LISA!!!  BIG BIG HUG LISA!!! I go for my EGD tomorrow... so I'm praying for your healing and mine too!! Id love to eat and not get sick or nausated so badly... XOXO

Good am Lisa, Many, many prayers coming your way. That you have been SO proactive being your own best advocate for your care makes such an amazing impact on the outcome of things. You WILL get through this, you WILL do everything you are supposed to & I pray & have faith that you will pull through this & having shared your experiences here with everyone is a true blessing. It lets folks know they are not alone, that issues do occur but that they are WORTH it to get to the end result. I have always admired & enjoyed your faith & courage to share & ***** to keep forging ahead through trying times.  Protonix has been AMAZING for my ulcers! I'm not sure if you take the liquid (I would think at this stage) but I take the pill form currently & it truly has been the BEST med to do the job. In addition, you'll get the staples that are protruding OUT & get to healing & I cannot WAIT for the day that we get the report you are healed and on your way to the next level in this journey.
