Are we allowed to take Correctol?
Once in awhile that is OK, but not often. Anything that has "Senna" listed in the ingredients is a laxative and can be habit forming. I had a terrible problem until I discovered that what I really needed was way more magnesium because of the calcium. Maybe try the correctol to fix the symptom and then start upping your magnesium until you no longer have the problem?

Amanda .. when in doubt , call your doc sweety .. as always .. no doctors on this board... just as info ....
Never up anything without calling them first , and checking your medical records . There are things that your body can be alergic to .
I hope things get moving soon .

Good am Amanda,
Its best if you call your surgeon's office & ask what they might suggest. That being said I'm going to list here what my surgeon's office suggests to post-op patients.
Benefiber, Metamucil & similar (twice daily at first, ten once daily thereafter)
Milk of Magnesia (every other day, as needed)
Dulcolax suppository
Fleets Enema
Miralax powder (prescribed by physican)
I hope that you get this resolved and get to feeling better. Feel free to mention the above to your surgeon's office & if these are acceptable for them you can keep these on the "ok" list.
All best....
