Take responsibility.

The quality of your life is the result of your reactions to life. When you are faced with a challenge, be it a health issue or something else, the final outcome is either positive or negative based on how you react.

Taking responsibility for your obesity means reacting positively to the demands of your surgery--rather than feeling sorry for yourself or feeling rebellious. Taking responsibility means you control the outcome of your surgery.

Action for the day: In your journal, write down three things in your life that are bothering you--things that make you feel like a victim. Next to each item, write down a realistic response you could have that would improve the situation--and your perception of yourself.

YES! I'm a writer and love to journal every chance I get & its truly one of the most beneficial staples in my life. Its like air, food, water, vitamins. It allows me to document my food intake, exercise but even more has been a key component in identifying deep rooted issues, addressing them & seeing marked progress! I totally suggest it! I love one that I bought and still use as a basis for all journal entries and its a probing questions type journal. If anyone is interested PM & I'll pass along the info since we aren't supposed to post/promote things not approved by OH. Have a WONDERFUL Sunday!
