Today was the 1st day to my new beginning

Today was what I am calling the 1st day to my new beginning but my dr called it a pre pre-op appointment.  Everything that is required for me has been done, all the dr appointments, procedures, evaluations, DONE!!!  Because of the insurance I have, I don't have an approval process so now that everything else is complete, in the next 2-3 days, I will receive a letter telling me when his 3 hr diet class is, the pre-op appointment, for my final question & answer appointment with him and my blood work and MY SURGERY DATE.  According to the dr, he is scheduling just into the 3rd week of March, so not that far away. I am so glad that my day is finally going to be coming soon.  I sit here thinking about today, what the dr said to me and just can not believe that in a few short weeks, my life will be starting a transformation, none like I have ever experienced before..  But one that most of ya'll have gone through.  I can not wait to be a member of the best losing team.  Thanks so much for listening! Congrat's! Looks like I will be just a few weeks ahead of you ( maybe even days depending on how long the surgery schedule is for you ). We will be losing together! I might even be the first to scoot over for ya! Brandi~

YAY!!!  When is your date?  Mine looks like it will be the 3rd or 4th week in March, but I did tell him that I would be available for any and all cancellations!!!  Keep me posted!

Good am Theresa, I'm happy & excited for you that things are coming together. I hope you are able to post your date very, very soon. Your life will surely change. You are ALREADY a member of our family here and there is a LOT of room on the loser's bench for sure. All best....

Awwww thanks so much!  I do feel very welcomed here.  Funny thing though...  Since my dr said it would be about 2-3 days before I received my letter with all my dates, I have been stalking the poor mail lady, constantly watching the mail box, seeing if my little flagger thing is down so I'd know if she'd been!  I used to NEVER care if I had mail!  LOL!  I'll be sure to let ya'll know my date, when I find out just make sure to keep room on that bench! That is great news Theresa!! It is a wonderful transformation but you have to be patient and follow all the rules to be really successful!  And everyone on here will help you achieve that!  I remember how I used to read on here and so wanted to be "one of you" who had been through the surgery - and eventually I was and so will you be soon! March is really not very far away! So remember to ask here about anything you have concerns about - everyone is happy to help you! Jackie

Thanks so much Jackie!   This is a great website and I am so glad that I happened to chance upon it!  I can definitely relate to the reading and wanting to be "1 of you".  That's just what I've been feeling since I joined this site, but I am practicing this new thing, Patience...  Knowing that soon my time will come!  You're right March isn't that far away but these days are soooooooo dragging!   Thanks for the support!
