V8 V.Fusion Light
Love it! Have you tried it? Im still trying to figure out how much sugar is too much sugar but from what I understand some people post surgery are sugar sensitive and some not. Depending on the flavor, they have berry and strawberry Banana and Peach Mango ( My fav ) and a couple more. The light versions range from 8 grams of sugar to 10 grams of sugar in an 8 ounce glass.
But of course the cool part is having 1/4 a cup of fruit and 1/4 a cup on Veggies in a good tasteing 8 ounce glass of v8 juice. It doesnt have protein but it doesnt have fat either.
Just wanted to share my new favorite drink!

Hi Brandi--
I hear all sorts of things. My Dr. said no more than 3g of sugar per serving. I know that I had 8g in some applesauce when I mis-measured my serving while cutting my gall bladder meds and I hurled like there was no tomorrow.
If it turns out that is too much sugar in a serving for you, you could always break up the bottle. Have smaller servings and sip them.
You'll be amazed at all the little tricks you'll learn post-op. The best thing is to be a militant label reader.

I like this too. Early post op I mixed both vanilla and unflavored protein with this, watered it down and sip sip sip!
I am hit or miss when it comes to sugar. On an empty stomach and just a little too much sugar I will sometimes dump. I try to keep my sugar below 8 grms.
When in doubt talk to your Nutritionist.
You've got less than a month to go now!!
Yeah...I like this too, though we do have to be careful of the sugars....sometimes liquid sugars are a bit different than solid food sugars (at least for me!). I can't drink a full 8oz serving at once without feeling ick (I tend to fall asleep if I have just a bit too much sugar...way too much I'm hurling).
