OT: Are there any knitters out there???

I sure hope so. I am having a heck of a time trying to find where I can purchase double-point knitting needles, set of 5, metal, sizes 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, & 4. I have googled, I have aol'd, I am sooooo frustrated!!! How difficult can it be????? Can any of you put me in the right direction? I don't want to pay a bloody fortune for them, but they don't seem to exist in metal anymore. Perhaps one of you have some that you are willing to part with & I'm willing to buy. My sock knitting is about to come to a screeching halt after this pair I'm working on is done & I just can't have that happen!! I am sooooo loving this. I intend to give socks to everybody for Xmas (maybe even you?) so if any of you can help, please PM. H E L P ! ! ! Ok, rave out is done....thanks!

Have you tried EBAY, free cycle, how about there are some knitters magazines my granfather used to get shoot cant remember there nanes Im sure there online though.

Hey Tink...I taught myself to knit. If I can do it, so can you. It's a bit more time consuming than crochet, but I love the results, not to mention the challenge! It's only taken me to the third pair of sox to finally get the pattern size right for my cousin with the big feet...LOL! Give it a try!
