Daily Challenge - Make Time For You
Today's daily challenge is VERY important to your weightloss success. It is important that we make time for ourselves. Make the journey all about you. I know - seems arrogant when there are children, spouses, co-workers and everyone else involved in our lives that need us. BUT....you need yourself, too. And you CANNOT give everyone else what they need if you have not taken some time for yourself.
I remember the morning of my surgery, telling my hubby that it was all about me. My children are older (22 and 17), so they no longer need me like they did when they were younger. My husband was finally home for a while and could take on some of the responsibilities us military spouses are often left with....finally....it was my turn.
And here it is....over 2 years later...and it is STILL all about me. This is MY journey. Granted, I am in a great position with older children, BUT.....I take 1 hour a day (min) for just me. To work out....to relax....to take a bath...whatever I want. Because, I decided that I could NOT give everything of me to everyone else and be successful in this adventure.
So far...it HAS worked to my advantage. I'm happier, feel less taken advantage of, physically able to do the things my family and friends want to do, feel more energized and suffer from less bouts of depression.
So...read today's challenge and see if you can do it....it's a simple one and will help you with your success.........
