Freaking out...what's recovery like?????

O my goodness.....Please give me all the info and I'll pass you my number I will go with you for your surgery! Nobody should have to go into surgery alone!

Brandi, I will see you next Tuesday for our preop.  Mine is at 9 am as well.  I would love to switch info with you then.    Please don't worry so much.  Everything will work itself out.  No reason for you to have a nervous breakdown b4 hand.   I am really looking forward to finally getting to meet you on Tuesday. Oh my goodness!  This breaks my heart.  I'm so glad that the ladies here have stepped up to be your angel on your surgery day.  I wish you the best of luck AND I wish your husband to return home swiftly to be with you.  :)

Brandi, I'm sorry your friend is ill. Hopefully she will be better and be able to come and help. I had an uneventful recovery. The only reason I took any pain meds was because I pulled a muscle in my abdomen getting out of the hospital bed--HINT--use your arms not your torso getting up!!! I slept  on and off, stairs were no problem. I think by biggest strenght sapper was taking a shower. My kids are teens and hubby was able to be off for a week,  hugs

I'm so glad all the ladies here are helping you will suggetions and offers for assistance.  I wish i lived closer, or else I would offer my assistance too.  :( It will work out, just don't stress yourself out over the details. As far as my experience, I was tired, didn't have much bending mobility and my pain was mainly around my drain site.  You will be fine.  :)

Everyone here is such a sweetie... just so you know....  i am right up the road from you and could use ALL the support anyone wants to give, hint hint!!!  LOL!!  my date is scheduled for April 30, @ 9 and even though it's about 2 months away, i, like brandi, am freaking out about the unknown.  i am not sure that my mom will be there the day of the surgery because someone has to be around for my son...  so if ya see the angel of WLS flying around...  remind her to stop by St Mary's!  LOL!!!   hugs, Theresa

Thanks everyone for calming me down. Truth is the unknown scares me, Im a planner. It still isnt set in stone that my friend wont be able to come but I will keep everyone posted! Thanks again! Brandi~

Brandi,     everything will come together.  I, like you, am a worrier (sp).  And especially worry about the unknown.  I am way up the road but never minded a road trip before so if you need anything, just holler.  There is this old saying...

God never gives us more then he thinks we can handle...

lol that's cute!!!! I know I wish we lived closer! Im glad you found someone to be your angel .... I know thing's will come together...I guess I was just planning so far ahead and thinking with my planning thing's would be alot easier than they are looking to turn out being.
