Freaking out...what's recovery like?????
I also had a pretty uneventfull recovery. I did keep the liquid pain killer handy and wasn't afraid to take a little when needed. Bending down and lifting were my biggest inconviences. I didn't have children to take care of and can't give any advise there. I'm only a couple of miles down the street from you so.... if you need a ride to Portsmouth for your followup... Please let me know. I'd be glad to drive you there. I have my 3 month follow up with Dr Mann this next Friday. Have you started your pre-surgery diet yet? I lost 24 pounds in the 2 1/2 weeks prior to surgery. Please let me know if I can do anything for you. Bill
Thanks so much for offering. I do have my entire friend's and fmaily here because Im from Hampton and my favorite X mothger in law lives 3 minutes up the road in Lee Hall and she too had RNY done by Dr. Mann so Im sure I wont have to look far to find a ride. At this point I was just concerned about the time Im in the hospital and who was going to be looking after the boy's.
But I found out today that my lil sister is NOT having her surgery the same day as me so that free's up some time for my mother to help out too, and I still dont know for sure if my friend from NC can or Cant come but I will keep everyone posted.
I truly am not as worried about recovery as I am having complications that would keep me in the hospital longer being that my hubby wont be here for and with the kid's...but we will cross that bridge IF we get there.
I had two c sections, stapled from hip to hip, I know all about the pain associated to bending and what not...Im thinking this one wont be as bad truthfully...I rfecovered SUPER fast with both of those so Im just keeping my finger's crossed!
Thanks again
Brandi~
