I hear Soy increases estrogen... and egg is gross.... so what kind do y'all use?

Good pm Steph, I personally drink AchievOnes for protein. I've tried MANY MANY different powders and all different types/versions and just don't like/do well with them! Best of luck!

No, its currently available at bariatriceating.com and skylarhaley.com (maker). I love the Mocha Java!!! There are 4 different flavors: Mocha Java, Hazelnut, Vanilla & Cappuccino. Let me know if you are interested & I can give you more info. :P

You can also get AchieveOne locally (within VA) from www.bumblebeecottage.com

I eat my protein with eggs, cheese, meat, etc. And I also use Micellar Milk (Vitamin Shoppe) - 17 ounces has 40 gramsof protein. I use it instead of milk in my protein shakes. I use Matrix Chocolate, IDS Chocolate Mint, and Protein Delite protein powders. Plus, I eat Mucles Milk chocolate protein pudding with sugar free whipped cream, Oh Ya Protein bars, Think Thin protein bars and another one (can't recall the name right now) that I get at Walmart.
Some like the bullets - Protein Whey bullet. I think it's 2 ounces and has 25 grams of protein - too sweet for me.
Soy protein upsets my tummy, but sometimes I will eat the south Beach protein bars, South Beach granola in my Carb Master or Fage yogurt.
So, for me...it's from a combination of places.
Good luck!

Well predigested whey protein is probably about the best for us but other mixed proteins are good for us too and to be honest, the fruther out you are, I tend to think that any protein you still will actually drink is a good one.....
I use the bullets as they are over and done with relatively fast....

I have a lactose intolerance which has made protein challenging for me. So far, I can only do whey protein ISOLATES (as compared to the concentrate versions with higher lactose in most protein powders). It's harder to find and not as many flavor options. I also just don't do the milky type powders well (think chocolate shakes and stuff) because everything seems so sweet to me now. I have been surviving with the Nectar products. My favorite (or should I say most tolerable) is the Nectar Natural - Orange Flavors. You can get Nectar at all suppliers. the Nectar Naturals (a little lighter taste) I had to order online.
The bullets (3oz "shots" available in 25g or 40g versions) seemed like a god send, but then go figure I would get the runs from them. My laziness has not allowed me to try them again and rework it so I sip throughout the day instead of sucking them down all in one. That's a weekend project that I keep forgetting to do.
I've also been suggested to get the 4-packs of Muscle Milk Light which is lactose free, but again, my laziness hasn't gotten me to Vitamin Shoppe yet. Shame on me!
Soy protein I found to be kinda gross, but I have only tried one unflavored version to put in food. I don't know if it was a mental thing or not, but felt like I could taste the protein. If you would like me to baggie you a sample of that to try, PM me. I have GNC's Pro Soy blend.
I think when I was looking in Vitamin Shoppe I found Egg protein to be expensive for the quantity so I have not tried it.
GOOD LUCK!

Hello!!
I actually have only found one protein that I can tolerate well--Smart Forme. You can find them at www.SmartForme.com Unfortunately there is not anywhere locally to get them. My favorite are the fruit drinks...15 grams per 6-8 oz.--they are the only protein that I have found that does not have the protein taste. They are made with Whey Protein Isolate.

Oh, I got so excited when I read your post. I went right to the site and found that the cold drink flavors sounded tasty. BUT, just so everyone has the information - the nutritional infomation labels state the cold drinks are whey protein concentrate.

I'm lactose intolerant and can't do concentrate, so bummer for me. But I hope this helps others to have a few more fruity choics. YUMMO!
