Just checking in.. I haven't been around in a while due to work been keeping me pretty busy during the day.  I miss all of you and have been thinking of each of you.  I've been leaving my lap top at work during the weeks to try to create a work life balance... I have a home pc but I've gotten so spoiled by a lap top that sitting at a desktop is well... *gasp* unheard of! LOL Jackie - How's the healing and your group meetings going? Cort - Lovin' Newlywed life? Kat - What's the inispiration of the day? Jill - What's new in excercize world? Lauren - Did you find shakes yet? Nat - How's the move coming and the new job? Anne - Are you still a round? Who's New? What have I missed?

Hi Amanda, It's so nice to see you posting again. I never did get to tell you how much i loved the new avatar! I think it really does you justice. Sassy! How are you doing weight wise? Are you still losing well? I hope so. Me, I'm still waitin' for my preop date March 13, seems like forever. Ann is still pokin her head in every now and then as it suits her; had lunch with her last week and she was as fired up as ever. We'll have to pack the girls up from our neck of the woods and plan to meet up with you girls near the beach when the weather warms up a bit and have lunch together. That would be a hoot.Take care and don't work too hard. Hugs, Pam

Hey Pam! Im holding steady at 42 pound lost.   However, I will say things are shifting around and although the scale isn't budging, I'm trying to remind myself that I have lost 42 pounds in almost 3 months.  My highest weight loss was 52 pounds and that took me 11 months... so .. trying to focus on changing my eating habits, focusing on water and protein and getting more active. :)

Good Morning, Amanda.... Wondering where you've been these days.  I hear ya on the whole being busy.  Definately busy here between running, work, dance class, teenager, hubby, dogs...guess I could go on and on - haha! That's a great idea...leaving the laptop for better balance.  I may need to add that to my list of March goals - haha.  I swear some days I feel like I'm on it all day.  You get to chatting with someone, and next thing you know - haha. Well...enjoy your day!

Hi Amanda!!!  You have been missed girl.  Glad to know you are working hard on the balance in your life. Newlywed life...   I love my hubby with all my heart and as usual he is being very patient with me and my moods.  Having some balance issues right now from both of us, had some health scares this week so it has been rough.  Life & its ups & downs.

Sending you a BIG BIG HUG!!!!  I hope your health evens out... I feel a million times better once I figured out that it wasn't a virus, but a stricture that was causing me the inability to eat and stuff.   All the world of happiness and peace for you :)

HELLLLLLLLOOOOOOOO!!  (Seinfeld belly button episode...I digress...) No new shakes for me, I've been one lazy mother.  HA HA.  Still surviving on the Nectar Naturals Orange.  It's do-able for now.  :)  I really do need to work on that!! I've now started loving the laptop too.  No more do I have to wait for hubbykins to get off the home 'puter.  I just log on in the living room.  Soooooo nice.  :)  I just wish we could get a wireles router to work.  We tried one but it wouldn't work.  I'm not sure if it was human error or just not doable with our DSL connect or something?  We just run a cord from the computer room into the living room for me to log on. HUGGLES girly girl!

My breakfast, lunch and snacks are the same every day.  Dinner I try new things and am a bit more adventurous.  Mainly because I'm home and close to the toi-dee if needed. I start my day with 16oz of Lactaid milk as a source of protein I actually LIKE the taste of. Breakfast - Unsweetened Applesauce (I love the Motts Green Apple version available at Walmart) Lunch - Lunchmeat - Turkey or Ham, and Cheese - Usually Cheddar Cubes.  I have progressed to a mini-mini sandwich (half slice of grain bread cut in half for a quarter sandwich with the lunchmeat and a slice of cheese variation - oh and I super toast the bread) that I do maybe one or twice a week. Protein Shake Snack - Half an apple peeled or an organic fruit strip (Target - be careful!  there are sugar added or only natural sugar versions) Evening - I try and always do a meat and veggies side.  I'm finding that ham is easy going down, pork okay, turkey okay, but chicken I have problems with.  Then again, I haven't been focusing on the darker moister parts of the chicken.  I can't get out of my love of white meat only mentality... sigh... Snack/Juice - an orange if I want something moist to end the day. My favorite foods/snacks are fruit because they are both moist and filling, since the whole not drinking and eating thing nearly kills me, but I follow religiously. I'm debating adding another protein shake to see if it maximizes my results.  I see people here on the boards take in WAY more than I do, even though I am meeting my doctors requirements of 50g and request of 60g.  ??  hmmm... Oh and I seem not to be doing eggs very well anymore.  Shame...that was one of my favorites and it is a source of protein.  Bummer. YOU?  What kinds of things are you having luck with or staying away from?
