Daily Inspiration - Recognize your worthiness

Recognize your worthiness.  There are those of us who think we are not worthy of success. We cannot accept prosperity. But how happy are you when you see an underdog succeed? How genuine is your praise of other people who have struggled to reach a goal? The joy you feel for another person is the same as the joy someone feels for you when you reach your goals. Accept praise with joy and gratitude. Don't say, "It was nothing." You are worthy of praise and you have earned it. You only diminish the joy of others when you dismiss their praise of you. The rewards of your work are not just the numbers on the scale or your pants size, but also the respect and recognition you get from friends and family.  Action for the day: Allow people to share their joy for you. It is a gift you can give them that will lift you up, too.

This is good Im guilty of being embarrassed when some one  says oh what a good job you have done or you guys make a fuss. Why you say because I dont know what to say, because I was an had been at the butt of so many jokes all my life and verbal abuse I just shy away. But Im starting to be better about this.  There have been times I have had to go to the bathroom an cry because I was overwelmed w/ my own joy an didnt want people to me cry.  Thanks for posting this Jill It is so true.

I truly appreciate this one as I've often struggled with accepting compliments for a job well done. Even more, I've endured some folks continuous negativity and no matter my accomplishments they are always finding something to try and smother them or find reasons they aren't good enough either by voicing it or trying to one up it. However, something I've learned is that when others point out faults in others or try to squash the joy & excitement of accomplishments often times those are the very things they don't care for about themselves. Its not "nothing" when we accomplish something its EVERYTHING; work, sweat, tears, laughter, pain etc.  THANKS!

It is true -  it is really very difficult to accept praise and I wonder why it should be really?  People do not normally say you do a good job if you do not.  I think if we all make the effort to accept some form of praise today we will all feel better.........  so when my mother in law tells me today that I made a good chicken dinner, just like she makes,  I will just smile sweetly and not tell her I changed all of the ingrediants so it is good for me to eat too.......   what she doesn't know won't hurt her lol!!
