Find your safety zone.

Maybe you're tired and there is too much to do. Perhaps you are the main caretaker of your family. You struggle to keep up with the mess, the appointments, the activities, the laundry, the meals, the schedules, the homework, your job, your sanity, your parents' needs, the bills, the checkbook, the charities, and your spouse. Sometimes you want to scream, but the people around you all look to you for support. They need you to be "together."

You need a place where you can safely go and not be judged--a place where people understand your conflicting desire to help others and to take care of yourself. A place where the other people who supposedly "have it all together" can commiserate with you, laugh with you, or just be with you without judgment. This haven can be a healing place for you. A place of renewal. Sometimes all you need to help you cope is understanding.

Action for the day: If you don't already have one, meditate on how you might create a safe haven where you can connect with others who will understand and support you.
