Several cool moments from today
1. I had my 3 month post-op appointment today. When I checked in the lady at the front desk looked at my file, looked at me, looked at the file again, and said, "Wait, you're only 3 months post-op?"
"Yep, " I replied.
"Wow," she said, "looking at you I figured you were at least a year out."
2. I met a very nice lady in the office who is a lurker here on OH. Turns out I have fans of my silly little posts.
3. Weigh in: 111lbs. gone in 103 days since surgery.
4. My doctor didn't recognize me. He looked at my chart again and said, "Wait, that's you?"
5. All my blood work looked great. BP was 120/80 and my sugar was 110.
6. Had a monster day at work and missed going to the gym. So, I put on my shoes at 9 pm and did a 45 minute run through the neighborhood.
That is just fantastic! This surgery is such an eye opener and a life saver! You have been doing a truly remarkable job - kudos to you and your dedication! It is paying dividends!
I am not surprised that you are an inspiration to other people - we all looked up to other people when we were doing this and some probably will never know how much they insprired us!
Well done and keep the great stories coming!

Jackie--Thanks for the kind words!
OOOHHHH....I forgot one other thing from today. Got some new golf shirts at work with our company logo...Yep...I am a normal human being now. They were XL.
The Casual Male Big & Tall has a frequent shopper program. Anyone who knows me knows I am a FREAK for frequent flyer or loyalty programs. My wife once asked me what it would take for me to leave her. Without missing a beat I said, "You find me a lady and who gives out Delta SkyMiles and you've kissed me goodbye" ....Well when I got home today I took that card from the fat man's store and threw it in the trash. I have no more need for it!
Now if anyone has a lead on the frequent flyer lady....

That's GREAT! You are SUCH an inspiration to all of us. For us "old timers" you remind us of what it felt like - the giddiness of the changes our bodies undertook. And for those coming up, you are a trailer blazer with your positive spirit and attitude.
Plus...that sense of hunor is to die for - haha.
[bowing to you] You are a better person than I am...I am NOT running at 9pm. I'll stretch, but NOT running - haha.
But...you are doing GREAT! Keep up the great work and see ya next weekend!
