Missed my workout yesterday
Man it killed me. We just had a crazy day here. The boys had soccer. My daughter had Gymboree. Did some house cleaning. Took the wife power shopping. After I made dinner I took some Tylenol because my legs and back were sore from how hard I pushed it on my run Friday night. Closed my eyes for a minute...BOOM it's 8 am Sunday (which was actually 9 am--Daylight Savings Time: You are the bane of my existence!!!)
My point? I think it's clear from some of my posts that I am certainly militant about getting my workouts done. But no matter how hard we try, thinks happen. The key is to just pick up where we were and plug on.
And in case you're wondering...my wife is at the movies with her father (a bi-monthly tradition around here) am I am on kid duty this morning. I am CHAMPING AT THE BIT for her to get back so that I can get to the gym today. (And to see her

WOW....REST DAY! Good for you!
I know what you mean....no matter HOW well we plan, sometimes life just gets in the way. BUT...you've made a commitment for today and I know that you will be at the gym.
To me...the important thing is that if you miss a workout, chalk it up as a rest day and move on.

It's OKAY. Don't beat up on yourself for mising one day. Sometimes your body needs a rest, and sometimes you just need a well deserved day off. Enjoy your time with the little ones and enjoy time with the wife when she gets home. :)
