Ok . What motivates you ?  For me is looking in the mirror and seeing a new healthy and trimmer me .  I am also motivated by my health . I know that if I go back to my old ways, I am subject to my diabetes returning .  I have 2 grandchildren that I plan on watching grow up. They are 2 of the biggest motivators for me !!  When it comes to exercise .. which a lot of us do not like ... I get motivated by good music .. and the feeling of acomplishment .  So .. today .. Tuesday .. March 11th .. 2008 ..  WHAT MOTIVATES YOU ?  Have an awesome day ... and always remember to BELIEVE IN YOU !!

My friends motivate me................like u my special friend. My kids motivate me....being able to do things with them, simple things like run and play. The scale motivates me, I know it prolly shouldn't, but it does. I am scared to death of gain the weight back.

I feel more motivated on some days than others, but I guess that's normal. For the most part, what motivates me is the fact that I don't feel the shame about myself that I used to. I absolutely HATE that feeling of shame and self-loathing... nothing is worse. I know that I have worked so hard for the progress that I have made and I just refuse to go back to a place of shame and self-hate. Now I am also motivated by more "heathen like" things, such as the clothes I can wear now... but that's not really the primary motivator like I thought it would be. People in my life are so supportive and happy for me that I feel like I've given them a gift along with giving this to myself. I don't want to let them down... in fact, I want to give back to others who need it more than ever! Thanks for the thought-provoking start to the day, Nat. I need a good reminder like this as I recover. Have a great day!

You are such a great reminder of what's really important....like you it's being able to enjoy those grandkids for many many years to come.  Can't wait to be able to do some clothes shopping and see just how nice it can be to shop in the regular size depts. As always, you're the best friend ever...love you so much and truly blessed to call you my friend.
