Scratch that..Marions surgery canceled
I went up there but apparently had just missed her. Her's was canceled due to not enough bed's in the ICU. How aweful is that! I sure hope they dont do that to me...Ive got alot of people that took time off to be with me...and I know she did too and all that clear liquid for nothing...Ahhh
I talked to her for a slight minute, she has been rescheduled for next tuesday, one day before me...

Oh that just stinks...poor girl. BUT...glad to hear that everything was rescheduled for her.

I would be soooo pissed if that happened to me. I mean, come on...not like they didn't know they didn't have enough beds. They could have/should have called her before she left home to tell her. Poor thing. Shoot...knowing ME, I'd send 'em a bill f******ileage & anything else I could think of for the inconvenience. It's not like they wouldn't bill us for a no-show, right?

they would have known who I was all over that hospital I would have ranted until I scared some one out of one of those darn beds 
lol Im so sorry for her, thanks for letting us know. But she does have another date. I had something simular happen to me back in 2004 when I went in for a breast reduction sat there ALL day with no food no drink was scheduled @ 8am for surgery and @ 4pm was told they might get me in @ 8pm I said s**** you and your mights and hung up on them and left out there madder than a hornet and boy did they get a call the next day, I was there the next week @ 6am first patient. Its no fun and I know she must have been broken hearted.

Canceling surgeries is a big NO NO at the hospital I use to work at (UVA) Severe repercussions from higher management....But UVA has Magnet status so that may be the difference. So sorry..how disappointing!
