6 Month Surgiversary

Hi ya'll!    Well I had my six month surgiversary yesterday and my six month check up with the doctor today.  Down 94 pounds !  WOOHOOO.   Another 57 to go and I will be through.  He was very pleased and called me a "success".   I will post pictures later tonight or tomorrow.  Have to get my son to take them :) Other great news....don't know if any of you have heard of Semester at Sea but here is a link  www.semesteratsea.com .  It is basically a college on a cruise ship.  There will be 700 students and 40-50 faculty/staff.  I have been selected to go on the Fall 2008 voyage as the Office Manager for the Executive Dean.  We will be going all around the world.  I will be taking a leave of absence from my job for four months!!  I am very excited and got the okay from the doc for that this morning as well.  I will be gone from August 15-December 14. Hope everything is great with each and every one of you.   P.S.  My ticker is not showing up correctly and I have tried everything to fix it.  Any ideas?

You are doing a great job and have come a long way. Very proud of you! Nancy, now about the semester at sea...that is freaking AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! I would do just about anything to do that. Traveling is about my favorite thing. My only advice is to load up on your vitamins and protein before leaving. Even in Europe I realized I'd have trouble finding what I needed (luckily I packed for a short trip). You are about to have a once in a lifetime experience. SO JEALOUS!!!!

You really are seeing the world! One of the cities on the docket is Norfolk, VA. You're in the BIG TIME!!!

LOL. Norfolk is where we (the faculty and staff) will board the boat.  Then we set sail to Nassau to pick up the darling students.

Splendid news on your weight loss! I'm so proud of you, can't wait to see pics. And the Semester at Sea sounds soooo neat. I'm jealous. Wanna pack me? As far as your ticker...try shrinking your signature. It looks a little big and may not be making room for the ticker.

You should know that it is toxic to say to a group of people struggling with their weight to say that something looks big and isn't making room for the ticker.

Congrats on a great  bill of heath and the weightloss!!!! And  the exciting adventire you have in store ahead of you!!! Sounds like  a blast. So when you come back you will have to update and  do a show and tell for the FFP's. take lots of pictures.

Hey, Nancy:  CONGRATULATIONS on all fronts!  Great weight loss, good news on your health...and semester at sea (I have heard of it and have always thought it sounded fantastic!).  What a terrific day!  Have you bought a lottery ticket???  ;)

Congrats!  You've done great work! I had a friend in college who did Semester at Sea as a student and she loved it.  She came back with all kinds of crazy souvenirs from all around the world.  You'll have a great time!
