Day 3 was hard!!!!
I cant believe it seems Im the only one who is having such an ordeal with this diet and I feel like Im being a whinner...but I really struggled today. Ive had a headache today and Ive had the shakes in my hands. Im really concerned because I feel so down in the dumps and miserable, it's almost depressive in way's and that's just not me at all. Im wondering how I can cope with still having two more day's.
I really have stayed busy, my house is cleaner than ever, I even took my rug's outdoors and scrubed them and hung them to dry. I took the kid's to The Air and Space museum yesterday morning and my in laws were in town for a short while last night and today.Im a lil worried about being alone tomorrow. I can't down anymore broth to save my life, it reminds me of having the flu or something, the Isopure isnt working anymore, I can sip it for a while but I'm not getting much down.
I'm basicly living off of SF pop's and crystal light which also worried me because I dont feel like I have got alot of pretein down and I know how important that is to recovery...Plus I feel so darn weak physicly and that cant be good to go into surgery with right....
Ok...enough whinning for now...48 hours to go!!!
Brandi~
I am new to this board and I sent you a note before I saw your post. I am a neighbor of sorts. I live at the Weapons Station. I don't know if there is anything I can do to help you, but if you need me just send me a note. I know you can do this. There is no way you could have gone this far and not have what it takes to get through the next few days! We military wives must stick together! If you are worried about being alone don't be. I'll be thinking of you. If you would like to meet at the PX or a park so the kids can play, let me know. I am just starting this journey. I have had my first appointment and have scheduled my Nutrition and Psych appointments. You can do this!

So sorry you are having such a hard time. I started my bowel prep today. I am feeling fine. Just Pissed off at the SIL that I flew out here to help me after wards. She is leaving. I bought her a return ticket tonight and she will be gone wednsday morning so I wont even have to be here when she goes. Well I will see you in a few days at the hospital.

Hi, Brandi: I can't begin to tell you that I understand what you are going through -- I think we all have different experiences in this whole process. What I can tell you is to "keep your eye on the prize..." In other words, through the frustration and all, just remember where this is going to get you and the long term benefits. Hang in there!
Good am Brandi,
Prayers coming your way that you dig deep and find the strength to forge through this tough time. Change up the flavors of things. For example the SF pops come in such a wide variety of flavors now. Food Lion sells an off brand HUGE bag of SF pops in banana, cherry, grape, pina colada etc. Also, switch up the types of soups you are having. Maybe try the Campbell's soup at hand and drink them. Keep yourself focused and remember that in 2 days everything changes again. You CAN do this!

Brandi,
You are doing great. Stick to it, and consider the good advice above. I wouldn't worry that you are weak physically. This is for a short period of time. Continue to work on the protein, but just do the best you can and not worry. If you need to, call your doc or nutritionist today and tell them how you feel. You are going to make it and your life will NEVER be the same.
I am praying for you.
Joe
Brandi,
I am so proud of you . You can do this . Not much longer now . Just keep your eye on the prize.. and that is a healthier YOU ..
A suggestion. If you are doing any kind of broth, try adding a scoop of unflavored protein. It makes it really creamy .. and very soothing.
Best wishes to you ..
Keep us posted.

Brandi, you can do this! This phase is difficult, but definitel possible. Have you tried some different protein drinks? I lived off the Atkins chocolate drinks when I had my liquid phase and it helped a lot. I also suggest you try and tackle some projects around the house that you haven't gotten to yet - now you have more time because you are not caught up in the eating! It's a challenging time for sure, but you need to keep reminding yourself that you are strong and you are ready for this. Keep posting here all you need to - we are here to support you!
