What Are YOU Doing To Move Today???

Good Morning....... BBbrrrrrr....it's cold out there!  what a SHOCK to the body! So...it's a brand new week with brand new fitness goals.  So..what are YOU doing to move today?? Me?  Well...I've got a 10K run to prepare for, so...I'll be running.  Then abs and stretching! Until tomorrow....

What a great thread! I'll be running with my dogs around the trails here - they are dalmations - Ben and Jerry  - they sure need a lot of exercise and love to run! They keep me fit for sure! Rosie

Oh Jill...I am soooo proud of myself!!!  I went to the hospital for my workout today...did 1 mile on the treadmill.  I started out at 1.5 mph, then with each 10th of a mile, I upped it 1 till the last half mile, then I upped it to 3.0 mph!!    I have a question.  Is it normal to feel a little dizzy afterwards?  I'm fine while I'm walking, but as soon as I turn it off, I feel light headed.  Weird!  Anyway, then I got on the recumbent stairstepper that works arms as well & did that until I'd burned 100 calories!  That's 1450 steps!!  I was ready to do another mile on the treadmill but they wouldn't let me.    I hate being held back but I guess I understand why, even if I don't like it.  So yeah...I got my bootie workin' today!!! woo hoooo!!!!

RIGHT ON!!!  I am SO proud of you!  You did great!  That's quite the workout!!!!

As for feeling dizzy - it could be for a number of reasons.  I would ask the staff while you are there - they may need to monitor you, because it could be something as simple as you are either working too hard (easy to fix), or need to get your bearings (like when on a ride at the park) or something serious. Let themknow before your next workout so they can monitor you.   But...you did GREAT!

You needn't worry about my being monitored.  I wear a heart monitor the whole time I'm working out & they watch it constantly.  Since I have no idea when my rythm will shoot up, they would know before I do & can stop me beforehand...hopefully in time so's I don't get zapped.  Working too hard...hmmm...naahhh...LOL.  So that leaves the bearings thing...that could be.  Plus, I tend to sort of meditate while I'm on the machines.  I nearly fell asleep on the stairstep thing...lol.  I know I did a big workout though cuz when I got home I was whooped!  Barely remember eating dinner, watched most of Dancing With The Stars & then died on the couch!  Mike said I was sleeping so soundly that he didn't have the heart to wake me to move me up to our bedroom.  When I woke up this morning I actually felt refreshed!  So I'm thinking it would be in my best interest to workout late in the day...that way I won't be bushed the whole rest of the day. Thanks for the encouragement.  You are an inspiration to me.
