Good Morning, Fitness Folks...... It is going to be a beautiful day today....I'm jealous, because I'm stuck in the office! So...what are YOU doing to move today??? Me?  I have dance class today - YEAH!!!!! Enjoy your day!

Good am, Initially I'm gonna take it easy and not push myself. I'm going to fill up with fluids and weather wise its really looking like rain here. It "feels" nice but its real windy too. If things should clear Nora & I will be outside A LOT. I need fresh air and would love some sunshine. Maybe its a sign saying "rest" which I never listen. LOL! So, we'll see I could feel better and get motivated to truck it around the neighborhood with Nora in her stroller which she's quickly outgrowing. Have a good one!

Not much, I'm afraid.  Not feeling so good today.  Been sipping on Nyquil since last night.  Just gonna keep my appt with the cardio doc...other than that, sleep. Hope everybody has a good day!!

I'm sorry so many of you are feeling under the weather! Rest up.  It is my favorite kind of day - just cool enough with a nice breeze. I met with my new personal trainer (part of my pre-op "boot camp" package) for the first time yesterday and we did a little bit of strength training.  YOWZER I am sore today.  It is PITIFUL the shape that I'm in... But I also got my fancy heart rate gadget from him.  It's a heart rate monitor that I wear and a watch that records the data.  It has all of my data, as well as my assigned workouts, programmed into it.  So today I did my first "short" exercise session - 25 minutes in my moderate heart rate zone.  I walked on the path that goes around my apartment complex, which is a nice path.  This thing is so cool!  I love watching my heart rate as I walk - and it keeps track of calories burned as well.  It records how much time I spend in each of my heart rate zones, and if I met my goal (I did -  and a little bit more)  I can even wear it in the water when I go swimming.  And I can scroll through and see how I'm doing for the week. I can't wait until I meet my goal for the whole week and the trophy shows up! :) (Yes, it's the little things that get me excited....) Jill - I love that you are always going to dance classes.  I can't wait until I lose some weight and I'm not too embarrassed to go to one.  What a fun way to exercise!

That gadget sounds cool...I want one - haha.  I a gadget girl.  Gotta have them all - haha. Do not worry about your workout.  Each time you do it you will get healthier and stronger.  You wait and see.  One day, you will be surprised by the things that you can do, and not by the things that you cannot do. When I started dance classes 10 weeks ago, I never thought that I would be able to do the pole work.  In less than 10 weeks, I can climb the pole (properly), wrap my legs around and let go (yep....holding on with only my legs - 8 feet int he air).  AMAZING! I love going to dance class.  It was important for me to find something that I enjoyed and could easily be added to my workout routine.  Dance did it. Now...you need to find something that you enjoy and do not mind doing each day.... I'm proud of you...keep up the hard work!

went for an hour 20 min walk run after getting back to tthe hotel from a third day of conference meetings.  Came in and got protein bar and some water then walked down to Wal-Mart to buy a second piece of lugage cause I got no room to carry all the soviners I've bought to take home to wife and kids,.and a few Dallas Cowboy shirts for me!!! Killeen Texas really seems like a nice place but it ain't summer yet so I haven't seen the heat and dust I'm told is real prevelent here. Party on Dudes and dudettes.  Trying to keep in form for UROPKS there Jill!!

Dude....you RAWK! I went to dance class tonight.  That was the highlight of my workout.  BUT...I'm a bit sore and tired.  I need to get out there and run.  Monday I was in to everything else that I ran out of time, last night I did 50 min on the ellipticle.  Tomorrow is a combo of a circuit class and a dance class, so I wll be burning in that class..... But...I'll be in rare form for the run...I want to do it in 62 minutes.....
