At this point I'm thinking it will be a TT and BL, rather than a LBL. I'd like to take the next several months to lose a bit more weight if I can (although I've been up and down the same 3 lbs. for a few months now, so I may be pretty much done) and tone things up a bit, before going under the knife.  I work in retail, so I have to plan my surgery around the busy Christmas season. If I do this in August or September, do you think I'll be back to full stamina by November? How much time off should I plan to take, given that my work keeps me on my feet much of the time? Good luck with your recovery.....I hope the first difficult days will soon be just a distant memory!

Shellie, Five weeks after my LBL I went on a 2 week trip to see my family. We drove 2 days each way (staying in a hotel overnight). My energy level was good throughout and I was back doing pretty much everything after that 2 weeks. The first 2 weeks following surgery, my energy was LOW and I was dealing with swelling. I'm also in my mid-50s! Read Sporty Jill's info because she had some upper and lower body work done at the same time. If all goes according to plan, I'm sure you would feel totally back to normal by the busy Christmas season. CeCe

Speaking as someone who had a lbl in September,  I was well enough healed and recovered to have my breasts lifted and under arms done in the December and in February I had my implants, stomach meshed (Because of a hernia complication) and inner thighs lipoed (instead of my inner thighs being lidted because my iron became low - and Dr Krieger would not risk more surgery there because of bleeding). I am back to normal except for the swelling on my legs because fo the lipo  - but back at work 2 weeks later and doing everything I did before surgery...... so if  you have surgery in September you should be absolutely fine by Christmas! I have one more surgery to go - my inner thighs - and I woud go in and get them done tomorrow if he would only do it lol! It will be later this year when my iron is higher and my swelling has gone down in my legs........ Trust me he has your best interests at heart and will only do what is going to be good for you - he is so attentive after surgery that you feel in very safe hands - it is truly nice to have such a great surgeon!!
