Hi people...thanks for your prayers! I'm totally drugged so please dont hold this post against me....lol My surgery went pretty fast and my recovery was long due to no bed's availble in ICU, my poor family had to be at the hospital with me at 5 am and my surgery was complete at 10:20 But I didnt get a room and noone was able to see me untill almost 3 pm! The most pain is the gas that I have not been able to pass AT ALL. No matter how much I walk and I got NO SLEEP in the hospital!!!! I have huge bruises from the IV lines ATTEMPT'S but it was all worth it! The pain was minimal, Ive had worse...and Im really looking foward to the future! I lost 12lb's on my liquid diet!!!! I cant wait to have the energy to weigh again to see where I am now. So far I have the hiccup's which is a lil uncomfortable, and I've been able to eat Lite and Fit Vanilla yogart, Splenda sweetened apple sauce and cottage cheese. Boy it's yummy too!!!! Love ya'll Brandi~

Welcome home, Brandi.  We were all wondering how you were doing -- good to know that you are doing well.  The gas...yeah...one of the "fun" side effects!  :)  Congrats on the weight loss to date, and best of luck and much success in the weeks and months to come.  It is quite a ride!  :)

Congratulations and welcome home!   It's good to hear that things went well for you.  I know it's been a long road.  Congrats on the weight loss so far - that scale's just going to keep heading down down down!

I'm so glad to hear everything went pretty smooth, see it wasn't that bad.  I feel like such a bad friend for not calling to check on you, I have been completing my 32 post licensing education non-stop for days, haven't really slept, kids have the flu and I'm grouchy! But I still luv ya and call if you want to talk, even if it's in the middle of the night.

Sounds like everything is going well!  I'm almost two weeks out and still can't eat pureed foods, so more power to you!!!!!  Isn't it the best to step on the scale and see that it has gone DOWN?!  Fantastic news that you're doing well.  I hope the gas pains ease soon.  You'll probably be surprised at how rapidly you recover from this!
