I am thinking of all of you constantly.  How are you?  Is the pain becoming more manageable, and are you eating ok?  I am very preoccupied with WLS as I will get my date finally on April 1st.  I know Brandi and Marion are here in my area, how is Dr. Mann treating you now?  He will be my surgeon as well.  I sincerely hope all is going well for all of you, Take Care Lisa

Hey Lisa, I have to say...I personaly am getting around just fine. I knew I would, I have had 2 c sections and walked out of the OR prancing...Im just tolerant of pain I guess. I havent taken any pain medicine since Sat . I have yet to be full, or to feel like Im going to vomit. Im wondering if I actually had the surgery or not...lol My doctors were both very comforting the day of and the day following. They assured me all would do well and they made a trip into recovery to tell me that my liver looked awesome and I did good. I am however concerned about my eating... It's strange to me that I dont feel fuller than I do. I feel like part of it might be head hunger in the fact that Im not satisfied. I dont want to nor would I go eat a double cheese burger...BUT I would like to be fuller than I am.

It's really confusing for me personaly ( everyone is different ) I have NEVER been an over eater. EVER. I go to a buffet and I eat ONE plate, amybe a side bowl of salad. I dont make trip after trip just because it taste's good. But Im a late night snacker and I can go all day long without eating at all and then filling up at night.

So I dont think my dangers are that Im goign to strech my tummy back out but rather or not what Im eating is going to cause complications that I dont want to go through. I am also concerned that by not being able to fill up with a couple ounces like It should, is this surgery and how it's supposed to work...work for me? I'm really scared that Im going to fail!

And I know you guy's are tired of hearing me whinning...but for those of you who keep helping me I really appreciate it!!! You guy's are my ROCK!

Now if I could only get this damn ticker thang to work!
The journey of a thousand mile's, start's with just ONE step!

Hi Lisa & Brandi ~ I have yet to have surgery but have followed Brandi's story from the beginning.  Although I cannot offer any advice I can give support.  It sounds like you are doing a great job Brandi, hang in there!  From what I have read from other posts what you are feeling is all normal, with the not feeling full thing.  You seem to be in good spirits and thats a huge part of it.  Keep your head up!  I see the nutritionist this Weds and then I will go on the pre-op list.  Woo-Hoo.  I will also have Dr Chastanat and Dr Mann.  We are very fortunate to have such an awesome surgical team.  Continue to rest Brandi and take good care of yourself.  Keep us updated.  Lisa, nice to "meet" you and gfood luck with your journey. Susan  :)

Hey Susan, it is nice to "meet" you too!  We may be very close on our surgery dates, I have my Psych left and that is it.  Good Luck with your journey as well! Brandi, think positive, did you happen to call the surgeon about your concerns?  I think once you get used to your pouch you will be fine.  Could be that they left your pouch a little bigger than 2 oz, I have read of that happening.  I am great at brainstorming ideas, but maybe it just takes time.   You seem like you have a great attitude and are following all the rules.  The folks on this board are great about this stuff, so I am sure you will get some ideas.  I played around with the ticker last night and the only way I could get it to cut and paste was through AOL, IE and Firefox had some sort of block on it. Take Care, Lisa

From what Dr. Mann said about me having a longer hospital stay, I may be roomies with all yall.I would be interested to see how it works out.  We can commiserate together.  And Celebrate!!  I have been calling psych often to check for cancellations, in hopes of getting in sooner.  Maybe you could do the same and get lucky.  Sure would be nice to have a familiar face around, if we meet before, that is.  This is a really great community, and so surprisingly honest.  To whoever started this message board, THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
