On accident, and I'm sure it's been done before. But I could'nt believe it! So there I am making HOMEMADE alfredo sauce, chicken, Broc and Noodles for the fam...because I'm great like that.... lmao And I was making the kid's plates and the next thing I know, I absent mindedly pinch of noodles, stuck them in my mouth and SLURPED them down...NO CHEWING!!!!! I stopped dead in my tracks and was Like F#@! Just a complete brain fart! I was'nt thinking, old habbit's really die hard!!!!  So it burnt a bit, I sure hope it does'nt clogg my pouch....But I think I will survive. It was angel hair..so at least it was those THICK fetteucini noddles!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Brandi!  Glad you are up and cooking.  I can imagine that lots of people have done that while cooking.  I hope it does not cause you too much pain.  I think that sounds like a good excuse for me to have the hubbie cook for a while!  Think he will fall for that?  How is Marion? Christina

Awww Brandi!  I am sure you aren't alone in that mistake.  I am sure I will do it too but gee thanks for mentioning noodles.  With me still being on steroids and my sugar, 2 weeks ago being 500-600, pasta is a HUGE no no but now I want it!   Glad you seem to be doing better hun! Hugs, Theresa

The evening I got home from the hospital after surgery I swallowed a whole Tylenol without even thinking I should break it up. I went on to sleep, and all was fine, but it scared my DW. Brandi, If you don't have any papaya enzyme, that is something you want to keep on hand. If you get something that is starting to clog up your stoma this is what you need. Joe

i am so glad you didnt get sick. old habits are very hard to change. dont beat yourself up cuz you are still getting used to new eating habits. yea we need to be aware of what we put in our mouth and chewing food. take it slow and easy. keep up the good work. you are doing great.

Girl I hear ya loud and clear! I brought home bonefish grill the other night with hubby's favorite, shrimp and fish etc... and as Im putting it all on plates and mixing things up.. in went the shrimp chew chew chw...CRAP! I just ate dinner! LOL :)  I couldn't eat my soup I got and so I just sat and kept hubby company... Pasta will go down easily but will definetly fill you up quick! as bread, rice and things like that expand in our pouchies.  You shouldn't get clogged from that.

Welcome to being human and your new life :) XOXOX

Ooo..yeah...pasta is a no no for me. Pasta and cold water hurt. I'm VERY careful to watch it with pasta. The very first time I ate it without thinking, I cried while walking around in a circle for an hour hoping that would help... It felt like my stomach was ripping from the inside out...so be careful. girlie! One of my friends who is 3 years out, told me to try the spaghettio O's type stuff that has been sitting in sauce for awhile...instead of homemade... I'm afraid to try it... J
