Looking for a Support Group

I currently live in Manassas, VA and I need a support group to go to.  I can travel to about anywhere can someone please give me information on any local support groups that you go to and like.  Thanks billions.

If you can travel down to Fredricksburg, I suggest the support group led by Ms. jackie Thodos.  It is WONDERFUL! I'm sure she will see this post and respond.....

Jackie has a great  group up there in Fredericksburg, and I have one here in Charlottesville your  welcome to come here anytime you like. We meet on the 4th Sat of the month w/ the exception of April we will meet on the 19th, though in May we will be up in Harrisonburg. You can pm and I will send you more info.

I thought I had answered this once already so I don' t know what happened to it.?? What I said previousl was that I run the one in Fredericksburg which is the 3rd wednesday of every month...... if you send me a pm I will send you more details. Also nearer to you is Dr Halmi's meeting which is the first Thursday of each month at Potomac Hospital - next one is next Thursday. Also I know that there is a Staples Club in Reston and Centerville I think but there are others who will know more about that than me and I am sure they will jump in to help you. Hi Christa!  Welcome!  I am in Manassas too!!!!  I attend the Staple Club group, it was originally started by Dr. Anez & his practice, it is open to any WLS patient (friends, family, welcome too).  It meets on the second Monday of the month in Chantilly.  The next meeting is coming up in a few weeks.  There are several of us from here that attend that one.  I can get you some more information if you like. Fairoaks hospital also runs a group, Journey together that several people attend.  You can get more information on that one off of the Hospital website. There is a group that meets in Warrenton also.  I believe they meet the last Thursday of the month, at the newspaper office but I don't know the details.  Hopefully one of the members who attends that will see this & post more info.
